Video Wall Technology – Past, Present and Future

Within the last few years, video walls have successfully fused into the main stream with distinctive usage such as Government, Military, Security, and Network Operations Centers. Video walls can be found at airports, trade stores, shopping malls, stadiums, commercial lobbies, conference rooms, broadcast TV, military, movie theatres, casinos, and tradeshows. The reason for their extensive usage is because lower display hardware costs, displays with smaller bezel width and better picture quality, it’s easier to install and configure,  and most importantly, its color and brightness calibration that helps achieve standardization from screen to screen has improved.
So, branding, advertising, amusement, or communications through video walls has become relatively inexpensively.

With the advancements in technology, there will certainly be some remarkable video walls being used in the near future.  NEC has merged with a number of manufacturers offering bundled solutions that make using video walls easier and less expensive.
There are LCD screens amid 7.3mm, 6.5mm, and up-to-the-minute ones with only 5.7mm pooled bezel width.  Usage of LED Backlight on large set-up displays will give screens with even minor bezels, HD resolution, better video quality and incomparable screen-to-screen color uniformity. Configuring a basic 2×2 video wall these days is moderately trouble-free. A 1×2 up to 5×5 (or even 10×10) can be set of connections depending on construct and model.  So, showing one large HD image across the full video wall is comparatively effortless undertaking.  Specialized builds are also obtainable now that these manufacturers have been premeditated to make setting up (screen-to-screen placement) and servicing video walls much easier, safer, and more cost effective.
